Daane Bolier & Adegeest is led by Michael Daane Bolier and Jef Adegeest. Based in The Hague, the practice designs homes and interiors that bring together character, comfort and spatial quality. Its work focuses on the renovation and extension of existing and listed homes, as well as new buildings in historic settings in The Hague region, from Wassenaar to Rotterdam and from Oegstgeest to Voorburg.
Designs are developed in close dialogue with the client. Preferences for layout and appearance are considered alongside everyday use, the building’s structural possibilities and the available budget. Architecture and interiors are approached as a whole, from the first spatial decisions to materials and detailing.
Michael and Jef remain personally involved throughout the process. They explain the choices involved and guide clients from initial exploration through to construction. Clear communication and carefully developed designs form the basis of this collaboration. The result is a home with its own character, shaped around its residents and thoughtfully integrated into its surroundings.
We consider the whole as well as the detail. With years of experience in renovation, heritage and new buildings, we combine spatial quality with practical solutions. We carefully develop the design, from layout to materials. A dedicated architect works alongside you, from initial exploration through to construction.
Good design begins with careful listening. Through drawings, conversations and material studies, we develop a design together that suits you. We explore different possibilities and help you weigh up what matters most. Your wishes, the qualities of your home and the available budget guide each design decision.
We make decisions and next steps clear. You know where we stand, which choices lie ahead and what is needed to move forward. We agree on scope, schedule and fees, and advise on permits and other specialists, so you are well prepared for each stage of the project.
Daane Bolier & Adegeest architects is an enthusiastic team of architects and designers, with specialists in architecture, heritage, building technology and interior design.
The practice draws on a broad network of consultants, specialists and contractors. Depending on the project, we involve structural engineers, building services consultants and experts in architectural history. Their knowledge informs the design from an early stage, allowing us to bring together the expertise each project requires.
