Renovation of a listed villa with a classical extension and a new kitchen facing the garden.
Explore the projectTradition and renewal
A listed villa has been fully renovated and extended with a classical addition facing the garden. Traditie en vernieuwing connects the original architecture with a new kitchen and dining space, bringing cooking, gathering and views of the greenery together.
A bar with an integrated stove and wine cooler separates the kitchen from the dining room while connecting the two spaces. Large windows bring in daylight and make the garden part of everyday life. The proportions and detailing of the extension respond to the character of the villa.
The historic rooms have been carefully renovated, with attention to the high ceilings, ornamentation and original stairwell. Materials and colours connect the existing rooms with the new spaces. Renovation and extension form a coherent whole, preserving the historic qualities of the house while providing contemporary comfort.
